.:. about a miracle romance .:.

Back in 2000, I wanted my very own web site, where I could display all of the fan fiction that I've written. So I opened an account at Geocities and built a miracle fan fiction romance, my very own web site. Yes, I was very proud of this site, even though it was very short lived. I decided that I wanted to give my good friend Meara her own web page and that I also wanted to host some of my favorite fan fictions. I moved a miracle fan fiction romance to Tripod, where I could get more web space for free. (Hey, I'm a college student. I can only do stuff that's free.) Later on, the title for my web site was shortened to a miracle romance, which is a phrase from Sailormoon's theme song "Moonlight Legend." The web site was also moved once again to Envy.nu… until Envy.nu closed down and I had to move back to Tripod. As you can see, a miracle romance has gone through many moves and changes in the past two and a half years.

Now that I've started writing (and reading for that matter) fan fiction for anime other than Sailormoon, a miracle romance has become a collective page for all my web sites. It's a place where fan fiction lovers can come and read some exceptional stories without having to click through hundreds of mediocre stories. I mean, A Sailor Moon Romance and Fan Fiction.net are great web sites and I highly recommend them, but there does need to be a place where you don't have to sift through all the bad stories. (Yes, people… Although I'm not someone who likes to deter a person from their writing, there is some bad fan fiction out there.) I hope a miracle romance serves this person. While these web sites can be a butt in the posterior at times, it does bring me satisfaction to know that someone is reading either my stories or someone else's stories. Not everyone has the time to pick up the latest John Grisham novel, but more of us have the time to read the newest installment of our favorite fan fictions. And that's the mission of this web site: to give people who love to read something to enjoy and become enthralled with. And I think that's a good thing to promote, ne?

.:. about the author .:.

Everyone in the fan fiction world knows me best as Masked Maiden. My real name, however, is Carrie. I'm 19 years old and I was born on October 19, 1983. Currently, I'm a first year college student with an undecided major. (I just can't seem to make my mind up!) I love English and some sciences, and I love singing in my college's concert choir. During my free time, I like to write fan fiction, lounge around, watch television, read, surf the Internet, and anything else doesn't require a lot of physical activity. (Yes, I'm couch potato and I'm proud of it!) While I do consider myself a studious person, I know I'm lazy and a bit of a procrastinator. For some reason, I can't concentrate on school assignments -- or anything for that matter -- unless I'm under a little bit of stress.

I'm what you call an introvert, though that doesn't mean I'm antisocial. I just don't like being in a crowd for a long period of time, you know? Except, oddly enough, during the Christmas season when I go shopping. I'm quite friendly and I have a few close friends, though I also have a lot of acquaintances. I'm very attuned to other people's feelings; I sort of know when someone's having a bad day and if they want to talk about it. So I think I'm very considerate and probably a bit too nice at times. I don't like to hurt anyone's feelings. I'm a good listener and I don't mind listening to people when they have something to say. I don't however, like failure. (Well, who doesn't?) That's probably because I'm a perfectionist; everything has to be just right. My dream is to one day have a best-selling novel. However, I should probably finish a couple of my fan fictions. There's nothing like an author who can't stay on one project for long periods of time, you know? ^^;
