"A Dangerous Affair"

Chapter 3 …Prince of Darkness

The clock struck seven when the party began to thrive.  Many of the 
riches and prominent attended the ball benefiting the local orphanages.  
Among them were senators and business men of influence.  Women also 
flocked the party as they conversed aimlessly about their daily rituals 
of staying pretty and of course there those who have the never ending 
tongue.  Gossips and fictitious stories came from their mouths rapidly 
as they rated those who came.  The doors opened to the great hall to 
reveal a group of handsome men and one female.
"Ah, Lord Langtry" said the man "I'm glad that you could all make it"
"I'm glad that you invited," said Darien as he shook the mans hand 
firmly.  "Sir Andrew, I would like you to meet my younger sister" he 
motioned calling Rei.  "Rei-lee this is Sir Andrew, he is a scientist 
and a well known charity goer." he smiled warmly.
"Nice to meet you, what resemblance" said Andrew as he kissed Rei's 
hands lightly.
"And this man Jayson Wiley is her husband"
"Sir, Andrew had just moved here from Yorkshire"
"Yorkshire, very beautiful city" said Jayson.
"Yes it is"
"Why leave such a thriving city?" asked Rei
"I had wanted to be near my sister and my only cousin" he mentioned as 
he looked around.  "In fact I'm wondering where they are now… WOMEN!" 
He sighed as the other men chuckled.
"Sir Andrew, do not make such fun of us, for reason we are always late 
is due to fancying ourselves to flatter ones eyes"
"I have to agree with you there my love" said Jayson kissing her 
affectionately on the cheek.
"I too" 

The rest of the introductions were made and each gave their welcoming 
and thank you's.  Darien eyed everyone in the hall and breathed deeply 
as he tried to sense her appearance.  Disappointed he found nothing.  
Rei sensed her brother's eagerness to be reunited with his love again, 
kindly she put a hand on his shoulder.
"Darien, she'll be here," she said warmly as Darien placed his hand 
over hers.
"Thank you Rei".  The group dispersed, the men held fast to young 
ladies and the others mingled with others for some chatter.  Nearing 
the quarter to eight, again the doors opened revealing two beautiful 
goddesses.  The room seized its moments as they were lured to watch the 
two maidens walk graciously.

Andrew, Darien and Michael had become engrossed in their conversation 
as they hear the doors open.  Noticing the two, Darien, Andrew and 
Michael stopped any conversations between them and stared.   Along with 
the other men and women they watched the two sirens walk graciously 
towards the center.  His eyes focused as he sees her godly features 
more alluring than ever before.  Unbelieving how much two months time 
could do to her still maturing features.  "BEAUTIFUL" whispered Darien 
'how I've miss you' he thought lovingly.  Rei's eyes too focused on the 
women entering the ballroom.  Both women with seemingly high standards 
and very proper upbringing floated towards the center.  The two could 
pass for twins if it was not for the other being morely defined.  The 
woman wearing of the burnished of orange held herself well and smiled 
to everyone.  Indeed she was a beauty but was nothing compared to the 
woman next to her.  The other one, she nodded her head was even more so 
beautiful than the other.  Especially in her very, very red crimson red 
dress, red a vampires favorite color. Her mind questioned if this girl 
was the one. Serena slightly turned and with one look her neck was 
clearly seen to the nocturnals eyes.  Rei's intuition was right and 
indeed this was the girl her brother has been solely stuck on.   Rei 
had recognized the still very visible glow on her neck, her brother's 
insignia.  She smiled largely seeing her brothers wanting state.

Andrew chuckled at himself as he looked around.  He was as others 
completely taken by the girls entrance.  He has countless times have 
seen them in beautiful dresses and fancied clothing but never has he 
ever seen them so Princess like.    
"Beautiful aren't they?" asked Andrew
"Sir Andrew that would be an understatement" said Darien as he still 
fixed his eyes on Serena.
"Yeah…. Too bad.. it is my sister and my cousin," said Andrew gaining 
Darien's attention.
"Your what?" asked a surprised Darien.  Andrew chuckled to Darien's 
surprise.
"Your sister" said Michael eyeing Mina.
"Come let me introduce them to you" said Andrew as he gains Serena's 
and Mina's attention.

"Mina, I am not comfortable in this dress," said Serena as she watches 
everyone's eyes.  The men staring at her wanting as the women jealous 
to their figure and beauty.  
"Cousin, the dress suits you well and indeed is attracting many men.  
Don't worry you look beautiful"
"Mina, I think they're talking about us" whispered Serena to Mina 
glancing towards the group of older women whispering.
"Them… Don't worry about them, they're just jealous that they don't 
have your assets."
"What assets?" asked Serena a little naïve about the comment.
"Serena…" said Mina as she glanced down towards Serena's cleavage.  
Serena looked down and flustered a little before catching on to Mina's 
comment.
"Mina…."
"Oh there's Andrew and wow.. Look at those men," said Mina glancing at 
the men accompanying her brother.  Serena found her eyes to where 
Andrew was and for a brief moment felt her heart stop. As if Serena was 
in a race, her heart ran to many thumps per second, beating away 
towards the man who stares at her the same..  There has not been a day 
where she had wished she could see him again, and now she had her wish.  
Swallowing the hard knot in her throat she made contact with his 
unbelievable eyes.
"Let's go meet them," said Mina.
"Mina… I…" said Serena as she was pulled by her cousin.  Serena in 
all's time had never formally introduced Darien to Mina for when he was 
visiting it would usually be late or Mina herself would be away.  
Serena followed suit, her heart never missed a beat as she felt his 
gaze deeper and deeper within her.  'Oh god how I missed you' she 
thought admiringly as she came closer and closer to their presence.

Darien stared at Serena with the same intense blue eyes he always held 
for her.  It was only her he ever really showed any true affections 
for, thus when she was near his eyes a glaze and his usually cold body 
can feel a slight warmth from her magnificent aura.  Locking gazes he 
noticed her need as well as his, she longed for him, that he can 
clearly see.  Not needing to hide any of his true longing for her, for 
it showed, in his eyes in his actions in his features.  He too felt the 
burning desire to be with her and it would be soon where he would 
definitely confess his inner most secrets to her.  Content he smiled at 
her as she made her presence towards them.

"Hello brother" said Mina as she kissed her brother on the cheek.  
Michael's eyes held a fast to Mina.  She was simple magnificent to the 
eyes and his hunger as well.  Darien looked at his friend and nodded in 
a negative manner.  Telepathically he told Michael that there would be 
no harm done to any of Serena's loved ones, especially her close 
cousin.  He would need to make sure she was marked, later on.  Michael 
nodded in agreement.
"Serena my beautiful cousin how are you," said Andrew as he hugs his 
cousin fondly. "It's been awhile but how you've changed".
"I've been better but ill take that change as a compliment," she said 
casually.
"Andrew, aren't you going to introduce us to your friends?" asked Mina.  
Serena and Darien stared at each other almost lost within themselves, 
obviously noticed by others.  Rei, made her way towards her brother 
needing to meet the woman that has captured her brothers attention.
"Oh where are my manners" he said as he introduced his sister "Lord 
Darien Langtry, may I introduce to you my sister, Lady Mina 
Carrington".  Mina's eyes wide as she recognized the name.  
"It's nice to meet you" Darien bowed to lightly kiss her hand, Mina 
turned towards Serena.  Serena made contact and lightly closed her eyes 
before nodding in agreement.
"Lord Michael Sutton may I introduce to you Lady Mina Carrington".
"Pleased to meet your acquaintance," he said as he kissed her warm 
hand.
"The same here Lord Sutton" she smiled largely and felt her eyes burn 
as they made contact. 
"Lord Langtry and Lord Sutton may I introduce to you gentlemen my 
beautiful cousin, Lady Serena Annesley"
"Nice to see you again Lady Annesley" bowed Michael.
"It's nice to see you as well," said Serena as she turned to Darien.  
Darien smiled largely and very seductively.  Serena was at a never 
ending stop, her heart raced and her mind teased.
"Lady Annesley" he whispered affectionately as he took her hand and 
kissed it lovingly. "It's been too long" he exhaled loudly, holding 
total control of himself.  Andrew stared at the two almost bewildered 
and surprised.
"Lord Langtry…" she paused for a brief moment as she settled her rapid 
heart. "Indeed it has been too long" she smiled brightly to his eyes.  
Serena's hand was burning to the sensation that he left by his 
tantalizing kiss.  The two missed each other and both Mina and Michael 
knew how much they needed each other.
"I have to ask if you two have already met?" asked Andrew as he looked 
at the two suspiciously.
"Yes, we have met," said Serena to Andrew then moving her eyes back to 
Darien.  Darien and Serena were appeased to have seen each other once 
again.  Both reading each other's eyes as they smiled feeling each 
other's longing.  Just then a hand settled itself onto Darien's 
shoulder catching Serena's attention to the dark hared woman.  Serena 
felt a little uneasy, she didn't know if this woman was now his object 
of affection.
"Darien, would you be so rude and not introduce your own sister" smiled 
Rei to the charming Serena. 'SISTER!' she thought happily, Serena swore 
if there weren't so many people around she would be jumping for joy.
"Apologies my sister" said Darien as he looked to Serena "Lady Serena 
Annesley, may I introduce to you my sister, Lady Rei-lee Langtry 
Devonshire"
"Pleased to meet you Lady Annesley" smiled Rei to the girl that had a 
slight shock in her features.  The women both curtsied and smiled.
"Same to you Lady Devonshire, this is my cousin Lady Mina Carrington, 
and I'm sure you've already met my cousin Lord Andrew Carrington".  Rei 
nodded in agreement.
"Yes, I have.  My what resemblance" said Rei as she stared at the three 
standing next to each other.
"Lady Devonshire, might I say that about you and Lord Langtry here" 
smiled Andrew who remembered said the very same thing when he first met 
the handsome brother and sister.
The group laughed and resumed their talking.  The men busied themselves 
with business chatter and political sidings but not once did Darien's 
eyes left Serena, only when he was spoken to did he actually stop for a 
moment.  But it wasn't long till his eyes took them back to the woman 
that calls for him.  

Serena, Rei and Mina gathered themselves in reckless conversations.  
Talking and speaking about others in the ball.  Serena felt her 
shoulder burn as Darien seduced her with his fiery gazes.  She can feel 
his eyes roam in areas where he would back then stay away from.   Now 
there was no shame in wanting to be touched in those very same areas.  
Her thoughts ran hundreds of time of when he first kissed her and when 
he first traced her body with his bare hands.  The feeling of sensual 
high was calling and she did not know how long she would be able to 
stand being near him and yet so far.

Rei sensed Serena's heart pound in the heat of her brothers stare.  
Indeed Serena felt the same about her brother as he to her.  Shaking 
her head she needed to stop her brother before Serena makes a fool out 
of herself by moaning aloud.  She knew Darien had the very affect in 
women.  She has countless of times witness her brother make a mockery 
or a fool of other women before taking their life that very evening.  
Rei took one look at her brother 'Darien stopped staring at her, you're 
seducing her.  Her blood is boiling and I can clearly feel the heat 
from her body radiating.  If you don't stop, you'll burn her' Darien 
stared at his sister for a moment then chuckled lightly.  'Your right, 
I'm sorry…But how does she fare with you?', 'she's very lovely and 
indeed I can see how badly you've let yourself fall.. You have my 
blessing if it comes down to it', 'thanks Rei', 'Will you be telling 
her the truth?', 'Yes I plan too'.. as the two conversed within 
themselves Serena needed some fresh air.  The room was becoming too 
warm for her and with Darien around she felt as if she was burning.  If 
she didn't go outside now, she'll surely make a fool out of herself by 
jumping in his arms and kiss him to her fullest.
"Ladies will you excuse me, its getting too warm in here for me" said 
Serena as she fanned herself then making her way towards the gardens.
"Sure Serena" said Mina.  Rei nodded in agreement and then returned her 
thoughts to her brother.  'I told you!' she smiled.  Darien again 
chuckled and nodded his head. 'Brother I suggest that you go out there 
and speak to her, it is not safe for her to go out there alone', 'she 
is marked', 'yes with our kind you tell to stay away but how about 
their kind', 'true! Thanks for the tip' he said as he walked towards 
the gardens.

"Another ball, this is getting to be a bore," said a man outside by the 
rooftop.
"WE need some action here," said his companion.  Just then something 
caught his eye.
"HELLO…….." said the man to no-one in particular.
"What is it?"
"Look down there" he pointed.  His companion turned and sees a maiden 
walking alone in the gardens.  Both looked at each other and smiled 
evilly.
"Dinner is Serve," said the man as he leaped to the other rooftop.

Serena walked around quietly thinking to herself.  Her heart still 
raced to be with Darien.  The feeling of seeing him again gave her new 
strength, which she had thought was drained from the constant crying 
she had done for the past month.  Her thoughts and mind swam fiercely 
as she thought about sadden state she's been in.  No man has ever made 
her feel what he did to her.  Darien's kissed were overwhelming, his 
touches were all cool to the touch but yet he always leaves her skin 
burning with desire.. The looks his stares were enough for her to go 
into the brink of madness if she truly allowed it.

'I need you Darien' she said loudly.  Needing him was a must and she 
vowed to herself to speak to him about her feelings before the night 
was over, before he leaves again.  Serena turned around to find her way 
back to the ballroom when two men leapt from no-where, startling 
Serena.

"Where are you going my pretty".  Serena's body stepped back as the two 
men staring at her wickedly startled her.  Serena felt a little 
frightened by the two as she watch them lick their lips as if she was 
dinner being served.  
"What do you two men want?" she asked trying to hold her frightened 
figure together.
"You of course" smiled one of the men.  The other watched Serena 
frighten with each step they made and stopped a little as he noticed 
the bright glowing insignia.
"Rubeus, she is marked" said the younger one a little worried to who's 
name the insignia represents.  Serena listened in and wondered what 
they were talking about.  Rubeus stared at her then lowered his eyes 
down to the side of her neck.  Without a doubt she has been marked.  
The bright greenish glow of it all spoke many warnings of the very 
powerful owner.  Rubeus eyes then traveled down the Serena's cleavage 
and all the more tempted his sense.
"Doesn't matter, he's not here" he growled hungrily smelling Serena's 
very undefiled blood.  His growl sent frightening shivers down Serena's 
spine and with that Rubeus smiled.  Then it dawned on her as she watch 
the mans mouth partially open to a wide grin.  'FANGS' her mind 
screamed. 'Oh GOD!'. 

Darien walked casually, making his way towards the gardens to speak to 
Serena was an obstacle.  First it was Lady Irene needed attention then 
it was Lord Brently wanting attention towards his daughter… 'If the 
fools knew what was good for them they would not dare want me to make 
acquaintance or give them personal attention' he thought patiently as 
he walked out towards the balcony.  Darien exhaled heavily as he felt 
the nice crisp air liven his thousand year old body.  Making up his 
mind with his sister's help, he was ready to profess his love to 
Serena, only if he knew where she was.  He looked around a bit, when he 
noticed a faint smell.  Stopping his large strides he inhaled sharply 
and deeply closing his eyes to concentrate.  Vampires are very much 
like werewolves when it comes to strong sense of smell.  They could 
sense each other's identity by a single whiff and only if he had 
encountered them before would he know the new comers. Darien re-opened 
his eyes and worries sparked in his eyes. "DAM…..Outcast" he said 
loudly as he leapt towards the night air.  Darien needed to find Serena 
and quick.  The pungent smell in the air was one he has run into 
before.  They were of two brothers that were constant out cast from 
many packs.    As if their race was not tarnished enough, the two 
simple untamed vamps gave everyone his kind a bad name. Even with his 
insignia on Serena's neck would not be enough to stop them from 
pursuing her as fresh meat.  Darien needed help, he telepathically 
screamed to everyone his kind back at the ball and even more towards 
his castle warning his flock of servants to heed his warning of the new 
comers.  As telephatic questions were asked Darien's mind pained from 
the horrifying scream.. "SERENA" he screamed as he flew towards the 
area "I PITY THE FOOL THAT HARMS HER!" he growled loudly to the night 
air.

Rei was chatting nicely with Mina when she heard Darien's call.  She 
stopped and focused to what was going on.  Up she looked and right away 
she sees Michael, Kyle, Nathan, Jayson, Zen and other deciples of her 
brother walked briskly but casually towards the back door. "Rubeus and 
Redding" she whispered.
"Rei are you all right?" asked Mina as she stared at her frightened 
friend.
"Oh… yes… I'm sorry will you please excuse me for a moment" said Rei as 
she too made her way towards the door.

Serena screamed to her loudest and ran as quick as she could with her 
dress trailing behind. "Dam this dress" she cursed loudly as she still 
ran for her life.
"Oh, now don't dam the dress, it very well suits you.." said Rubues the 
taller man.
"Of mortals should know not to wear red in the darkest of night for it 
makes you more asking to be noticed".  Serena's mind was screaming for 
help and the gardens mazes were frantically giving her a grim outlook 
on escaping..
"There's no use in running fare one" said the taller man
"you will only tire.. and it hurts less if you not fight it" said the 
other.
'DARIEN' her mind screamed

"SERENA" said Darien as the scream of his name thundered in his mind.  
It was dark and the light fog did not help his vision.  Uncontrollably 
mad he closed his eyes and upon request the blood flowed from his cold 
veins making its way towards the pupils in his hard eyes.  Reopening 
Darien revealed his true lycanthropic eyes.  The once steel blue was 
replaced with a glowing erubescent fiery red.  His vision was 
heightened and now can see clearly through the fog and the blackness of 
night.  Again his mind disturbed to hearing Serena's scream and in no 
time found himself hovering high above the area of where his frightened 
Serena ran amuck.

Serena found a large stick on the ground and picked it up to protect 
her from the two insane vampires that hunt her down.  "I will never 
hunt ever again," she said loudly as she sensed that this must be how 
many animals feel.  "Stay away from me" she said loudly and demandingly 
for the brothers to hear.  The two stopped on their tracks and laughed.
"and what would you do, poke us to death" said Redding.
"Have you forgotten, you can not kill a vampire by a mere twig" laughed 
Rubeus.
"I don't care, I will not go down without a fight" she screamed as 
tears started to form in her eyes.
"oh she cries.."
"Don't worry, it will be over soon" smiled Rubeus as he took another 
step towards Serena.
"YOU HEED MY WARNING" growled a man behind the bushes.  The two stopped 
in their tracks as Serena turned around to find a dark figure walking 
towards her.  Serena did not know weather or not she should be jumping 
for joy or should be crying in vain if it was another vampire.  Her 
eyes focused as the figured stepped into the bright ray of the moon.
"DARIEN" leapt Serena as she ran in to his arms.  Darien opened his 
arms to Serena as he still held his fiery eyes to the brothers.  
Feeling the frightened figure in his arms he allowed his eyes to 
downcast to his steel blue and worriedly smiled down to his beautiful 
mare.  Serena held a strong death grip as he held her close. He had 
deeply missed her, missing her every warmth that she always seem to 
radiate and transfer to him.  Staring at her warmingly, he held her 
closer to his hard body.  Not caring who was present or the brothers 
that dare to move.  He intimately moved a lock of hair away from her 
frightened features, cupping her face lovingly with his large hands he 
motioned downward to kiss her luscious lips.  The two men watched, 
unable to move in fear of their fait.  Serena at first, surprised to 
his actions. Their lives are still very much in danger and he kisses 
her. But once she felt his cold but yet burning lips caress hers she 
didn't care if she died in his arms.  Her desires came to a call and 
she deepened the kiss holding him closer and wrapping her arms around 
his neck.  Darien too felt his own call of pleasure when he realized 
that there was still two very beyond dead vampires waiting for his 
move.  With the call of his own limpid desire his mouth watered 
filtering a concoction of sedating sweet taste to her mouth.  Pulling 
back a bit he stared at her.  Serena's head became a blur and 
everything in sight was of cloudy dark state.  She tried to focus hard 
on Darien "Da..rien…" she whispered as a sudden haze of total darkness 
hit her and down she slid.  Darien caught her light figure, cradling 
her close, his eyes returned to the burning ambers and now attended to 
the brothers that stand before him.  The three looked on measuring each 
other's strength.  Rubeus knew of Darien Langtry's strength and would 
not dare to fight him by himself.  The battle would be useless for the 
brothers for Darien would have the upper hand. Rubeus stared at the 
girl within the confines of Darien's arms then to his brother.  The 
thought occurred, with Darien's hands occupied with the damsel he would 
not be able to completely defend himself nor the girl and with his 
brothers help destroying the great dark prince would be easy.  Rubeus 
returned his eyes on the girl and fondly wanted to still taste her 
blood.  'and I will' he thought 'once I get rid of the prince'.  
Darien's eyes held steel daggers for the men and even more so as Rubeus 
stared at his beloved.
"YOU DARE TO STILL LOOK AT HER IN MY PRESENCE" he growled holding his 
maddening blood to a refined state.  With his own hands he wanted to 
tear them limb by limb and feed their flesh to the pack of werewolves 
that roam their gardens at night.  But with Serena in hand, he would 
not take the chance of even putting her down.
"We look to whom ever we please" stated Rubeus.  Redding a little 
surprised to his brother's arrogant nature.  He knew that the Prince of 
Darkness was powerful and even more powerful between him and Rubeus 
alone.
"Rubeus…." Redding stated.  As he stared at his brother than back to 
Darien.
"WE can take him on.. he is without protection and with the girl in his 
arms he is of no match between us" boasted Rubeus.  Darien held his 
firm eyes on them and watched their movements as the brothers argued.
"Then we can feast," said Rubeus as he stared back at Serena.  Darien's 
eyes flustered and angered even more.  With one turning movement Darien 
floated a few feet off the ground and his formal attire transformed.  
His handsome black tuxedo that held his unliving mass very well turned 
into a pitch black of silk clothing.  From his shoes to the neck up he 
wore of black and nothing but black adorned his every feature.  Behind 
him flowed a very long black cape matching his evil ensemble.  Darien 
recoiled his cape and covered Serena's body thus shielding her from 
Rubeus and Redding's sinful eyes.
"hand her over Prince Darien" said Rubeus a little cockier than ever.  
Darien held his demented mind at ease as he felt others presence.  He 
knew he could defeat these out casted vamps easily, they were of no 
match to him, taking a risk with Serena's life was another story.
"I THINK YOU HAVE JUST LIVED THROUGH YOUR LAST EVENING" stated Darien 
smiling but firmly.
"Oh…you cannot not win Prince.  You would not dare to harm that one you 
hold before you," said Rubeus.
"IF I HAD MY CHOICE I WOULD RIP YOUR DEAD FIGURES TO PIECES" he growled 
loudly.
"What made you changed your mind," he asked curiously.  Darien smiled 
brightly, even the moon glinted through his pearly white.
"I will let my minions take care of you," he said loudly.
"Minions, what minions.  You are alone," said Redding.
"You should know better than to fly the night alone…PRINCE," said 
Rubeus mockingly.
Rubeus laughter died within second's time, the two brother's knees 
almost gave way at the sight around them.  In circling them and a few 
yards apart were Darien's servants and guards.  Rubeus and Redding's 
eyes were in deep fright as they looked around feeling the daggers that 
were being thrown.  
"Like I said you just had your last evening" said Darien firmly.  Rei 
appeared next to her brother as she stood waiting for his orders.
"I would hate to be in your shoes," said Zen as he nodded his head in 
disagreement.
"Out of all the women, you choose Lady Annesley," said Nathan
"Not a smart move gentlemen" said Kyle
"What would you have us to do to them?" asked Michael his right hand 
man.  Darien smiled greatly to the uneasy look between the brothers.  
Defeat filtered through their body as Darien smiled largely bidding no 
mercy and no chance for survival.  
"Bid us Mercy" pleaded Redding.
"Fools……even with the royal mark of my brother, you dare to look at 
Lady Annesley and expect to live" said Rei.
"WE did not see it" lied Rubeus.
"It's a shame that you two aren't very good liars," said Jayson.
"My Lord." asked Michael.  Darien smiled largely as he contemplated on 
their sentencing.  Indeed he could and would not be soft on their 
punishment.  For going against him was straight out outspoken death.
"Take them to the castle." Darien said eagerly as he began to lift in 
the air.
"And what would you do with us" asked Redding.  Darien stopped and 
stared directly at the man.
"I said before, you two have lived you last evening"
"You kill us… your kind…for a mere mortal?" asked Redding.
"This mere mortal" he said removing his cape around Serena "is under my 
protection and any pursuance of her shall die by any tortural means."
"Please your highness"
"You had seen the warning placed upon her neck, my very own blood 
daubed on her neck and still you refuse to turn.  You chased her and 
frightened her frail being, you stared at her with lust and taint her 
with your obscene looks and you EXPECT ME TO BID YOU MERCY." Darien 
paused a brief moment staring at the helpless vamps below.
"Then bid us a smooth quick death" pleaded Rubeus.  Darien lowered 
himself down a bit to be in almost level eye with the man.
"For the likes of YOU, CLEMENCY is not in my blood.." paused Darien….. 
"You both shall perish in the most painful manner.  Come morning at the 
break of dawn you shall see your first and of course last sun light.."  
It was silent and indeed the brother's eyes shocked to hear such 
grizzly torture.  The men around surprised to Darien's choice of death 
for his type was usually left for the werewolves to devour their beings 
but this was more torturous than that.  "Your destruction is of a 
burning inferno.  It will not be quick nor would it be smooth.  You 
shall feel the pain and suffer the burn till your completely ashened.  
And still then I will not bid you mercy." said Darien as his eyes 
glinted in deep red.  "Take them away…and see to it that they are tied 
properly at the stake".  The men nodded and enclosed themselves towards 
the men.  

Rei approached her brother softly and placed her hand on his shoulder 
as he stared at the two men being taken to their death.
"Darien…. Will she be all right?" asked Rei staring at Serena within 
his arms.  Darien brought his eyes down to see his frail woman in her 
sleeping state.
"She'll be fine, she'll awake after a good nights sleep" he said.  
Darien's features softened as he takes full view of Serena in his arms.  
Not wanting to keep her in this state any longer he lifted himself 
towards his castle.
"Rei-lee, go too Lady and Lord Carrington and make them aware that 
Serena is with me and they need not worry for she is in good hands"
"GOOD HANDS!..with the Prince of Darkness" she smiled largely trying to 
make her very serious brother smile.
"Rei-lee" said Darien as he was able to cock a smile on his lips "You 
are too much".  Darien disappeared and blended within the darkness of 
the sky, his cape trailing behind.
