Serena finally came home after Mina's lecture about venturing out in the night alone. Her eyes were tired and she could honestly say she was a little hungry. After a late night snack Serena had dressed up and gotten ready for bed. Slipping on her pink silk nightgown she was ready for the night. Taking the braids out of her hair she sat in front of her vanity brushing her hair to the silk threads they were. Her thoughts were far away but yet it still stayed within one man. Darien stayed within the shadows that hung around Serena's balcony. Within the confines of the vines and other greenery around his presence was a mere apparition. He stared longingly for the beautiful girl preparing for her evening and even growled to himself as he watched her changed in her evening gown. 'Beautiful sweet Serena' he whispered 'How I wish it could be my love' he said as he watched more intently. His eyes turned into wanting gaze as he watched her remove her tight braids out from the back of her head. Brushing her hair, he remembered the times where he would run his fingers through her silky and golden tresses, loving the essence and the feel of it all.. Soft and beautiful as the woman it belongs too. His eyes observed her every move, from removing her make-up to powdering her features his eyes were very pleased. He had missed her so and still as much as his heart warned him to let her be, his mind always brought him here. Even if he could not touch the maiden that he longed for, he still wanted her safe and there he stayed on guard till she fell to her sleep. Serena began to finish up her daily rituals as she wiped her face clean of any cake-like residue. Wiping her eyes and then her cheeks she was almost done. She sighed as she stared at herself in the mirror. Her eyes roamed to the mirror as she inspected her very own features. Her eyes still darkened and gloomy, not much different from when it hurt the most. Serena brought her fingers to trace her eyes as she felt the deep emptiness they now filled, traveling down to her lips she caressed it with her index finger. Grazing it softly she remembered the man that brought fire and summoned her endless desire. Serena was caught up in an almost seductive trance as she relinquished the feeling that once stirred her body. Feelings when Darien touched her, kissed her or just being the lover he was. Serena was in deep thought as her fingers went down from her lips to her neck. She caressed her soft skin, feeling her flawless and intimate features. Arriving by her shoulder she pushed her robe off her shoulders, with only the minimal spaghetti straps holding it up. Her eyes fixed on her neck as she slid down to her collarbone. Wondering and thinking……… as she caressed her neck. 'Darien would you?' she thought. Even with Darien's steel blue eyes, they were still burning like in the midst of fiery hell. His senses were almost betraying him as he looked on at Serena caressing herself thoughtfully as she remembered her love. Eyes deepened with veneering vision as he stared at his beauty. 'Oh Serena' he whispered as he looked on 'You witch' he cursed as he felt himself drawing closer and closer, tempted to open the doors and intrude on her dreamlike state. As he moved closer to the window, he touched the glass with his hands as if to break it with one single touch. Though the cold state that a lycanthropic was constantly it could not compare to the warmth he felt right now. His eyes large and surprising as he opened himself to hear her thoughts. Surprised and almost taken to her very question. 'No baby….don't ask me that… please..' he repeated to himself as he winced in the pull of lust and wanting her to be his forever or his promise to not let her live like the mortal sinners they were. Her last thoughts caused him to slightly go overboard as he move quickly… touching the glass once more but this time making a slight thump as he was filled with the desire to answer her question. "Would you Darien…..for eternity……..for forever……would you..?" said Serena as she stared at the mirror still caressing her lovely neck. Her thoughts and trance interrupted as she heard a slight thump. Looking through her mirror reflecting the balcony doors, she sworn she saw a figure standing before her window. Someone that looked like 'Darien' she thought quickly. Turning around she searched for the intruder, thoughts ran to her mind 'Darien'…… Serena stood and walked quickly towards the doors. Looking out she saw nothing, just the darkness that covered the city. 'Please Serena don't,' said Darien as he shielded himself on the corner of her balcony. 'Oh Love, don't do this to me… Don't ask me to do this.. for I am sure I would without any hesitation' he thought as he put his large hands to cover his face. The doors to the balcony opened and Darien lifted above the balcony. Avoiding any confrontations and be faced with answering her question and making it his duty to keep her his…forever… Serena stepped out on the balcony to feel the presence that's been watching her. Completely empty she saw nothing, nothing but the night sky and the evening shadows. Slightly disappointed Serena sighed as she stared at the moon. Half full, she thought…. As she closed her eyes. Darien watched Serena from above as she stood. He ached to hold her again. Closing his eyes Darien summoned his powers. With one thought, Darien felt his being become one like the wind. Watching from above, he pushed his power towards Serena. Serena opened her eyes as she felt the cool but yet familiar cyclone. The feeling of warmth and love filtered through the wind as it surrounded her and funneling through her nightgown leaving her breathless and very excited. She smiled largely as she felt the presence that it held. Darien watched as his essence surrounded her and engulfed her. Swirling around her body, caressing it with every bit of his tortured soul. He smiled as his being returned to him and felt the warmth that he had missed with her. The love she had for him still remained and still burned. HE was happy but yet sad.. he watched Serena walk back into her room with a hidden smile. "Sleep my love for tonight you will rest" he said as he disappeared. Morning came and indeed Serena slept like a princess. No nightmares, or dreams had come to her perplexed mind. She woke feeling relaxed and fully energized for the new day. Upon her now morning ritual she exhaled deeply remembering the eerie wind that caressed her body, it seemed and felt so much like Darien. Just when she was about to leave, a glint from her nightstand caught her attention. 'The book' thought Serena as she picked it up 'I forgot about you ancient one' she said as she picked it up to bring to her morning breakfast. Serena had her breakfast in the gardens. She was feeling so much better, he mood was happy and her smile was slowly starting to return. It was Darien's eerie presence last night that made her happy. The man always left her that way, anytime or anyway he left her feeling breathless. Serena sighed as she daydreamed of what was once them. Stopping the sadden feeling she turned her away from any depressing thoughts and opened her book. (Book) Chapter 1…… Among the mother natures children lived a beautiful and lovely maiden. Hair of the most golden sun and skin so fair she was a 'witch' to all. Encasing all that looked to her bewitching eyes. Clairvoyant and mysterious she knew of her future. Being chosen from many, the choice of the wonderful woman to was not difficult. She possessed all the loving maternal instinct and would vow by any means to keep her duty maternally. Her name was Celeste. ** Serena almost gasped as she read the first paragraph. 'Hair of golden sun, Clairvoyant… Celeste….' Serena's eyes filled with mist as she remembered her mother. The description was so much like her. Beautiful, kind and most loving it was dearly her mother's nature. ** (Book) - A princess was born into this world having a future set and challenged. Baring blond hair, blue eyes as her mother she lifted all's spirit to the heavenly highs… Kind, beautiful she grew up with grace and lived life to its fullest. A mere mare to the evil world she was graced with unconditional love for all that encountered the little 'witch'. Her name, Selena. ** Serena's heart thumped heavily as she thought that the description was of her. Many had always described her as very high spirited. Blond hair blue eyes it was clearly sought. At times she has recalled, she was rendered a witch. ** (Book) – A prince was born years before, holding darkness in his side. Being of Dracula blood, his blood was cold and always ran amuck with all. His features as handsome as they can any could be. Eyes of the deepest ocean blue and hair of the blackest night he was a charmer adding to everyone's sight. His name, Dalien. ** Serena set the book down and stared in disbelief. The book had just not described her mother, herself and now Darien. The resemblance and the name similarities was too coincidental… 'What is going on here' she asked silently as she stared at the book sitting on the table. Somewhat afraid but curious to what the book had in store she read on. As the day progressed, Serena stayed snuggled with the book, taking it from her gardens to her library then to her room. She was completely awed to how much the book had described her life. Then as the chapters grew steadily and more complex she read and became more bewildered. ** (Book) – A ball came underway to help many children. The very woman who turned of age walked among the others never to astray. Her eyes shine of the highest blue and her smiled was of the brightest and true. Among the crowd was a handsome one, his eyes like steel and his intentions unclear. His eyes set on the maiden as his gazed hungrily. His mind swept her features from her dawn flawless skin to her beautiful figure. "My lady, may I have this dance?" said the hunter to his prey. Lost for words, Selena took the handsome mans cool hands. Leading the way, Dalien and Selena was enraptured to their own moment. "May I asked whom this beautiful enchantress may be?" he asked. "My name is Selena, may I ask to the handsome man that holds me in his arms his name?" "My lady, My name is Dalien and it is an honor." As he slowly stopped their movements as he lovingly kissed the back of her hand. ** If anything would have frightened her, it was this particular chapter. Although the past chapters have recollected on the similarities or exact telling between her life and Selena's, she couldn't quite comprehend how this chapter had described and foretold her and Darien's first encounter. The introductions, they're first kiss... everything was so exact. Skipping chapters she found herself deeper and deeper into fascination and yet fear. Reading on, she read a chapter marking Selena with his blood, Serena touched her neck and ran to the mirror to inspect her skin. 'Nothing,' she thought then read how invisible it was to a mortal's eye. Each and every chapter encountered her's and Darien's love affair and as it livened to happy climaxes. Serena read on as Dalien's feeling was explained and professed. Describing his love for a mortal woman when he knew himself could not love. 'Could he love me?' thought Serena. She pressed on and again read more…Then their first breaking argument and his conversation with his sister named Reiann. Sighing as she came to read Dalien's loving confession to his sister of loving a mortal; his anguish in not being able to provide for her; and his sorrow for not being able to give her all she wanted or all he ever dreamed, life, love, Selena, eternity. Serena stifled a cry as she read Dalien's admission to love for Selena. The next chapter Serena knew well… It told of Dalien's rescue of Selena from outcasts; tearing as it described the way Dalien held Selena, how he touched her and cherished her. Then the ultimate chapter of his true confession. Serena cried as she read about the heart breaking confession and even swallowed hard in fright as she remembered his sub-human features. The heart wrenching details of her depressing ordeal was clued and never did it exclude Darien's pain. All the pain of not having the one woman he longed for and one man she ever so dearly wanted. Again though through misty eyes, Serena read and pressed for more knowledge of Selena and Dalien's affairs. Then at the midst of the chapter she deeply and loudly sighed ** (Book) – Wearing of a beautiful pink satin gown she prepped herself to her evening slumber. Letting her hair unwind to its natural tresses. Little did the beauty know that her lover sat amongst the shadows outside her balcony. Selena's movements and seductive motions had about drove the young Draculian Dalien to frenzy. Watching her intently as she caressed her features from the sadden depths of her eyes to the pouty plump of her lips. Moving down to her neck she released the robe that held her shoulders, revealing beautiful and flawless lacteal skin. At the base of her neck Selena touched her skin so softly as she thought 'Dalien would you… for eternity….for forever?' Dalien outside was contemplating weather or not his honor and wanting to make Selena his for eternity would be tested. He wanted her and even more so that she would even think of asking him the ultimate question because if it came down to it, his preference would be making Selena eternally his. As Selena thought about her love and her undying question she saw a figure. A figure that she has seen before. "Dalien," she whispered as she quickly ran to her balcony scanning the darkened area. Determined to see him she opened the doors. A gust of distinct winds came to coil around her body making her feel a warmth and joy that she had only known with Dalien. Her heart soared as she felt her body warming and reacting to his essence. As the seduction by the wind ended, a man that hovered above vowed that his love was to have rest, rest from any nightmares or any disturbance. *** Serena stepped away, leaving the book to lie alone on her bed. Her hand covered her opened mouth as she stared in disbelief of what she had just read. Her mind raced as she conjured any answers that might be given to how this story portrayed so exactly like her life. Skimming to the next page, it stunned her to find them empty… blank… nothing. "What?…. why does it not have an ending?" she asked loudly…. Thinking and wondering.. "Lita, Ami!" she said loudly. Serena quickly took her belongings as she ran down the stairs and out her humble home. "What do we do with these books?" asked Ami piling more ancient books together. "Oh just leave them be where they are now, We don't have room to put those anywhere else," said Lita as she dusted the top of the shelves. Her mind wandering from last evenings encounter with Lady Annesley. "Lita?" "Yes." "Penny for you thoughts?" asked Ami as she watched Lita turn. "I'm surprised you just didn't read my mind!" said Lita "I prefer not to enter ones mind without permission…So what is wrong?" "Lady Annesley." "Oh… I see.." "What do you think will happen?" she asked as a ringing of the bell claimed one has entered. "Hold that thought," said Ami as she walked out of the back to enter the front room. A few moments later Ami returned. "Lita, I think you need to help me out on this one." "Why?" asked Lita as a woman with blond hair and blue eyes enter the room. "Lady Annesley!" "Lita, Ami I want to know everything you know about this writer," said Serena as she placed the book on the table for the two to see. "Lady Annesley what happened?" asked Ami taking note of Serena's paled features. "I WANT to know why this book portrayed my life to such exact to what has happened to me…. ?" she asked. "Please…. tell me more about this book". The two nodded and sat across from Serena, telling her of the books history and the books travels looking endlessly for the one who possessed its mark. "You saw didn't you?" asked Serena to Lita "You saw the insignia on my neck last evening didn't you?" asked Serena as Lita nodded. "You stood in front of Neptune's Mirror of Truth. And brightly it showed the princes' insignia." "That is why Lita gave you the book, for you are the rightful owner," said Ami "Neptune's Mirror of truth.. I would like to see this…" asked Serena "Please…" Lita stood for Serena to follow and upon arriving at the front of the bookstore their stood a large mirror. The looked as ancient as the book, the frame was fancily decorated with fishes and water creatures of all sorts. On the top was a carving of a mer-man with a large pitchfork that was held on the corner. Serena was almost afraid stepped in front of the mirror. Moving her hair away, she stared at the reflection given. Serena's eyes traveled to her neck and she saw the glowing insignia. Bright and large, it was almost a calligraphers' work of art. The insignia was in a formal and elegant 'D' and in the middle of the D was another letter 'L' overlaying on top. It was boxed in almost and designed with what it seemed like a rose. 'A Rose' thought Serena "A rose, red rose is the prince's sign," explained Ami as she read Serena's thoughts. She watched Serena quickly turned. "How did you?" "We two are Clairvoyant, as too your mother," said Lita as she walked over to the wall. She pulled a soft shroud and revealed an old painting. "MOTHER?… What.. How???" stuttered Serena. "We know things that many don't, we see things that others avoid," said Ami. Serena stared at the beautiful painting of her mother. Deep blue eyes encased in her lovely features. Blond hair waved behind as she stood at the top of the cliffs. Serena turned around and was amazed. "So you knew I was coming for the book." asked Serena to the two girls. "It was just a matter of time till you reclaimed it," said Ami "And that evening you came, the moon was in its half course. Summoning your soul to reclaim what is rightfully yours." "And what do I do with this book?" she asked "I have no powers, I'm not like you two, clairvoyant as was my mother." "Clairvoyant or not, You must use the knowledge wisely." "Knowledge?… This book only gave me fear that someone or something has been watching me. What knowledge do I learn from this book?" "The knowledge of the prince's true feelings for a mortal girl," said Lita stunning Serena. "What?" "The book that have traveled many centuries to look for you has now become one with its owner. The love between Dalien and Selena was never ended for tragedy had ended their love affair." "It can't be, for I haven't lived that long, how can this book be looking for me for centuries time." "As other fairy tales, they derived from histories past. Thus as most were finish the love affair between a Draculian and a Mortal was not." "And you Lady Annesley….was chosen……….to hold its ending" Serena, like a sponge in water, allowed all information to sting her unstable mind. All the information provided was so shocking but yet intriguing. "I am speechless of this knowledge." "Take your time Lady Annesley, for your actions and your path in life with the Draculian prince will either end happily or sadly to this timeless story." "This is all so shocking," sighed Serena as she sat, slumping on the chair. "Lady Annesley.. as if this wasn't enough, there is more.." said Ami as she brought out another book. This one larger than the other, the cover held a silver rose emblem. "What? I don't know if I can take anymore." "This is your mothers" Ami whispered. "It should be in your hands." "My Mothers!" exclaimed Serena taking the book. "Lady Annesley, Your mother has of Wiccan decent." "WICCAN!… My mother was a witch." "Your mother has Wiccan blood through years of ancient procreation." "Why didn't I know of this?" "You mother hid this life, for your father oppose of it." "But wait… If I am of Wiccan decent than I am not a mortal that contradicts with this book," said Serena as she pointed at the book that gave her fear. "Your great grandmothers choose to have mortal mates," said Lita "And so did your mother." "What does that mean?" "Through years time, the breeding between the mortal and Wiccan has thinned its natural essence of your true Wiccan blood." "Thus your mother choose to have a mortal mate." "My father." "Your mother only possessed a certain percent of Wiccan blood thus when she married another mortal her children would bare only the minimal." "Making her next of kin, mortal!" "So though I have Wiccan blood, I am still mortal?" "Yes you are but you are able to summon your ancestors help when needed for your are still their blood." "This is all too confusing," said Serena as she rubbed her temples "Why did my mother tell me anything of this?" "You father had made her promise that she would not introduce you or any of their children to the Wiccan religion. Thus she has shielded you from your upbringing." "BUT, your mother knew of this book and sent it here for safe keeping." "She had told our mothers that you will reclaim this book once you are ready." "But…." "Lady Annesley, your question will be answered in that book" said Lita as she looked at the new book that Serena held in her hands. Serena remained quiet as she thought of many the many things that she had learned. It was indeed overwhelming for her. "I think I should go," said Serena as she stood taking both books with her. "Thank you both." "It is nothing, when the time comes, we Wiccans stay together!" smiled Ami. Serena's eyes a little large of the knowledge that Lita and Ami were Wiccans. "Thank you" she smiled faintly as she walked out the doors. Stay tune for chapter 7………… Umalific@hotmail.com
