Rivals – Chapter 5

Sorry everyone for the long awaited chapter 5…. I just had gotten so 
busy… Please forgive me… But anyways here it is the chapter that 
everyone has been waiting for… Let me know how you like it… Thanks


* In Tokyo
“Miss, please fasten your seat belt we will be landing in Tokyo 
International airport in a few minutes”
“Oh, Thank you” said Serena.  It has been a long trip for Serena and 
she was very eager to get on the ground.  During the trip she mostly 
slept, only to wake up for meals and to use the restroom. As the plane 
decended down from the sky she smiled as she saw the city through her 
small window.  ‘Wow everything looks so small up here’ she said to 
herself. Butterflies began to flutter in her stomach as she felt the 
plane land roughly on the ground.  Once the plane started slowing down, 
the Captains voice rang on the speakers.
“Ladies and Gentlemen Welcome to Tokyo International Airport.  It 5:00 
o’clock in the evening and the weather is currently 65 degrees.  We 
hope you enjoy your stay and Thank you for flying with Japan Airlines” 
whistles and applause could be heard as the doors to the plane opened. 
Serena and the rest of the first class passengers were the first to be 
lead out to the tunnel. She walked through the tunnel smiling and very 
eager to be finally there, to what will now be her home.  Lugging her 
carryon, Serena made it to the end of the tunnel, where she was greeted 
by other attendants that worked the ticket booth.  “Arigato”.
“Arigato” said Serena
She looked around to find Mr. Chua, the man who’s suppose to meet her 
and take her to her home.
“Excuse me” said someone behind her.  Serena turns around to find a 
young man staring at her.  
“Are you Miss. Tsukino?” he asked.  Serena was startled, she expected 
an old man to pick her up
“Yes and are your Mr. Chua?” she said smiling at him.
“No maam, My name is Adam and Im here to help you with your luggage.  
Mr. Chua is waiting for us outside.”  He said as he kindly took her 
carryon luggage from her shoulder.  He was stunned and now with his 
mouth open admired her beauty.  “Umm….Do you have another set of 
luggage that need to be picked up?” he asked trying to hide the blush 
that crept of being caught staring at the girl before him.
“Umm.. yes just 1 large one.  The others were sent a few days ago” she 
said while following. 
After waiting for about 20 minutes, Adam finally retrieved Serena’s 
large suit case.  Then they slowly went through customs and proceeded 
outside the building.  Adam started walking towards a white BMW with 
windows that are lightly tinted.  Waiting beside the car was a middle 
aged man that was dress casually in black slacks and white button up 
shirt.  He largely smiled as he saw Serena and Adam walking towards 
him.
“Good afternoon Miss Tsukino.  I am Ben Chua” he said bowing to her.  
Serena smiles at the gesture.
“Hello Mr. Chua, its nice to meet you.  But I will not have you bow to 
me, I should be the one bowing to you for you are older and wiser” 
Serena said as she slowly bows to Mr. Chua.
“Oh.. No.. Miss Tsukino, please do not bow to me.  I am of no 
importance”
“No Mr. Chua, everyone to me is important” said Serena.  Mr. Chua was 
surprised, he in all his life time, as a servant never known for a 
wealthy kin such as Serena to be so modest lead alone to bow to him.  
“I am no different than you.  But if you do not wish for me to bow to 
you than please do not bow to me”
“Mr. Chua can only smile and nod in acceptance.  Thank you Miss. 
Tsukino”
“Please call me Serena”
“Thank you Miss Serena and you can call me Ben” he said while opening 
the passenger door.  At this time Adam had already loaded the luggage 
in the trunk and was tipped by Ben before getting into the driver seat.  
He slowly drove on the streets of Tokyo as Serena looked around 
amazingly at all the buildings.
“My goodness, Tokyo has really changed” she said noticably
“Yes, it has.  I heard that you moved when you were only 16” said Ben 
trying to converse while he drove..
“Yes I was only 16 when my father decided to move to New York.”
“It must have been hard for you!”
“Yes it was but I had a very good friend” she said smiling as she 
thought of Jaq.  She was in deep thought about the people she left in 
New York but came back to her senses when she saw a tall black building 
with the name Tsukino Financial Inc.
“Is that where my office will be?” she asked pointing at the building.
“Umm…” looking at what she was pointing at “yes that black building 
over there, is sure your building now.” he said smiling at her from the 
rear view mirror.  Still in awe she leans back to her seat.  It just 
finally hit her, that she Serena Tsukino will be head officer of 
Tsukino Financial in Tokyo which, overseas the other branches in Asia.
“Miss Serena are you all right?” asked Mr. Chua.
“Ohh yes. Im fine.” She replied now coming back to reality.  She looked 
on as she pass by old hang outs, the arcade where she used to play the 
most recent games and oggled at the boys that came by.  She sighed in 
delight as she saw the park where she used to feed the ducks in the 
pond.  All her fond memories of the past were all coming back to her.
“Were here” he said while driving up in front of a large gated house.  
The gate was silver and was fully decorated with red and white roses 
all around, the middle of the gate had an insigna of a moon that had a 
rose that intertwined around it, then the numbers 1821 below.
“I live here?” she asked as her eyes buldged out onto the mansion 
before her.  Ben pressed a couple of buttons in the car, which had 
opened the large gate.
“Yes, your father bought this last year for you.  He said that he stole 
some of your investment money and used it.  I guess he knew that you 
will be coming.” Ben said as he drove in and stopped the car in front 
of the house.  Serena’s mouth was agape at the sight of the beautiful 
house, one that she will be calling home.  As Ben opened the door a 
middle aged woman dressed casually walked out to greet them.  Serena 
stepped out with the help of Mr. Chua.  Once she had her balance he 
immediately introduced his wife to their new master.
“Miss. Serena this is my wife Elaine” said Mr. Chua gesturing to his 
wife.
“Miss Tsukino it’s so nice to finally meet you.” she said bowing to 
her.  Serena smiles as she looked at her bowing then looked at Mr. 
Chua.
“Mrs. Chua like I told your husband.  Everyone to me is equal and is 
very important.  I will not have you bow before me unless you will let 
me bow to you” she said before a smile.  Mrs. Chua was taken by 
surprised, she didn’t know what to say.  All she could do was look at 
her husband, who had a big smile.
“But Miss. Tsukino” Elaine said before she was interrupted
“Please.. Serena will be fine”.
“Now lets go inside so you may see your new home” Mr. Chua said 
smiling, trying to break away from the moment of confusion from his 
wife.  As Serena walked forward she helped Elaine straighten up and 
took her arm and proceeded inside.

They walked in and as Serena entered the receiving room she gasp.  
Above her was the most beautiful and ornate chandelier she has ever 
seen.  It had star shape crystals that was held by small tiny crystals 
and they draped all over to connect at one large moon.  
“Oh how beautiful”
“Yes, your mother picked it.  She said that you would like it and she 
was right” said Elaine “Your mother decorated all the rooms.  She 
designed everything from the ceiling to the tiled floors”.
“My mother always had good taste” said Serena as she followed Mr. Chua 
up the stairs. At the end of the stairs there was a long hallway that 
connected to other rooms.  She couldn’t help but wonder how many rooms 
there were.
“Elaine, How many rooms are there” she asked curiously
“There are six bedrooms and five bathrooms. Three rooms are 
specifically decorated for each of you, One for your parents, your 
brother and yourself” said Elaine
“and this is your room” said Ben as he opened the doors to Serena’s 
room.  Serena walked in to her new room and was pleased that her room 
was designed to her taste.  Beautiful tapestry draped across the 
balcony doors as a white sheer curtin russeled in the wind., carpets 
delicately soft to her touch.  Her bed was huge in size and had four 
poles along the sides where sheer fabric were tied with pink satin 
ribbons.  The linens and bed coverings perfectly matched the entire 
room creating a perfect ensemble.  Serena walked in furthur to take 
notice of the beautiful hand carved marble fireplace.  On top of the 
fireplace hung a framed photo of 4 different but yet similar poses.  
They were one of many photos that Jaq had made her pose for, ‘mom 
always loved that picture’ she though to her self.
“We call this the princess room” said Ben. “and the name perfectly 
suits you” added Elaine.  Serena can only smile at the two. 
“Miss. Serena I will be back with your luggage” said Ben as he left the 
two ladies.
“Miss. Serena are you hungry? Or can I get you anything?”  Elaine 
asked.  Serena who was still busy examinning her room didn’t even 
notice Elaine speak, untill Elaine repeated herself kind of loud.
“Miss Serena can I get you anything?”  It worked, for Serena broke out 
of her dream state.
“Oh.. Im sorry Elaine.  No Im not hungry but as soon as your husband 
retreieves my luggage I will like to endulge myself in a warm bath” 
said Serena as she felt her shoulders.  Sitting on the plane for 14 
hours can be stiffining and her muscles ached all over.
“Ill prepare it for you, I know that you must be tired from the long 
trip” she said while going to the bathroom and coming out with a white 
robe that had ‘Usagi’ embroidered on the left handside.  “Here, why 
don’t you get undress and Ill prepare your bath” said Elaine locking 
the room door first then going back to the bathroom.  
“Elaine what time is it?”
“It is 6:30pm” said Elaine before turning back to the bathroom.  She 
turned on the water and felt the water to her touch.  Finding the right 
temperature she closed the drain.  Elaine took some bath salts and 
sprinkled a handful into the water, upon touching the water the salts 
fizzed and released a light scent of roses.  Serena now in her robe, 
looked at herself in the mirror and brushed her hand over the 
embroidery.  ‘Mother’ she said ‘but I wonder why is it so short.’  Her 
robe was really short, it went high above her mid thigh making it 
shorter than usual.  She unfastened the two buns on her head and with 
one twist her silky hair cascaded down to her ankles.  As she was doing 
that so, she can hear music playing outside her balcony.  Curious she 
walked towards the balcony, ‘umm what a wonderful sight’ she thought as 
she came in contact with the mist of the sea and the smell of the 
ocean.  Closing her eyes she breathed in deeply positioning herself to 
lean down on the marble rail.   Unknowing to her was how provocative 
and sensual she looked with her hair draped all over the marble flowing 
enchantingly against the wind. Entranced by the ocean and its soothing 
nature, she kept her eyes close and after a few moments of short 
meditation she opened her eyes and smiled as she saw a little girl 
being carried by whom she can sense was her father.  Watching them made 
her think about the first time she went to the beach with her father, 
but her flashback was interrupted by loud Hawiian music.  Serena 
glances over to her left and noticed a party going on.  There were 
tables, chairs, umbrellas made out of raffia and bamboo, food, drinks, 
and crowds of people all about.  Some wore grass skirts as others wore 
floral printed tops and bottoms. ‘hmmm… Hawiann music, loud colors, 
hula skirts.. must be a luau’ she said to herself missing the stares 
from five men.  She stretched with her arms up in the air and on her 
tippy toes, she quickly brushed her hair lightly between her fingers.  
Looking forward she was searching for the father and daughter that was 
now sitting on the side of the water now joined by a woman.  As she 
looked on at the happy family, she felt a few sets of eyes staring at 
her.  Serena turned to back to luau and saw five men talking and 
staring directly at her. The five men wore floral shirts, solid color 
shorts and a lei draped over their necks.  Another man decided to join 
them and in no time was also staring at Serena.  The men were talking 
but frequently gazing back at her.  She stared in interest as she was 
trying to read their lips. They were all handsome to Serena, but one 
particular one caught her eye.  ‘There is something about his dark 
raven black hair’ she said to herself.  She stared at him until they 
both were locked in each others eyes trying to introduce themselves 
without words, she was startled when one of the men waved and gestured 
an invitation to her but before she was able to decline the offer she 
was caught off guard by Elaine.
“Miss Serena, Your bath is ready” she said looking to what she was 
staring at and noticing a man waving at her.  She also noticed the 
other men admiring her ‘Oh Serena’ she thought to herself smiling ‘your 
going to be one heartbreaker’.




“Oh.. Thank you..” she said in a startled voice. She looked back to 
where the six men were and glanced directly at the black haired man and 
smiled before retreating to her room.  Walking towards her room, she 
went to her desk.  She opened the front drawer and took out a paper and 
pen.  She began to write a little note and as she finished, she folded 
the note in half and walked over to Elaine.
“Elaine, Do you know who lives next door?”
“Yes, Mr. Johnson” said Elaine.
“Was he one of the six men down there?” Serena asked as she took her 
robe off.
“Yes, the one that waved” said Elaine smiling and noticing her young 
innocent beauty.
“I figured that. Can you please give this to him”  handing her the note 
from her pocket.  “I don’t want him to think that Im rude by not 
responding to his invitation” Serena said as she got in the tube.  “Oh 
and please don’t give them my name.  We can formally introduce 
ourselves some other time”.
“Yes.. Miss Serena” said Elaine as she made her way down the stairs 
running into her husband.
“Where are you going?” asked Ben
“It seems that our new master has encountered some admirers next door.  
They invited her over to their party but Miss Serena is tired” she said 
showing the piece of paper in her hand.
“So she wrote them a note of regret” he said as she watch his wife walk 
down the stairs.  Elaine went outside and made her way through the sand 
towards Mr. Johnson’s house.  Six men stare at her in anticipation of 
what she had to say.

~ At the Luau ~
“Hey Darien, hey Michael” said Nathan, Zen and Jayson as they made 
their way towards the two men.  
“It’s nice to see you here Darien” said Nathan “you needed the break.  
Hey guys have you seen the ladies? Wow look at them in their bra tops” 
said Nathan pointing at some girls in an orange, red, blue and teal 
bikini’s.
“You idiot, their not bra tops, their bikini tops” said Zen as he hit 
Nathan over the head.
“Well they look like bra’s to me”
“Oh Nathan your hopeless” said Zen
“Hey, just as long as you stay away from the red one” Jayson said 
pointing at Rei.
“He..llo… Darien” said a woman with a short floral skirt and a 
strapless bikini.  The husky voice grabbed all five mens attention.
“Hello Millie” said Darien as he sipped his drink.  She glided over to 
the five men making sure they saw every inch of her curves.
“Why haven’t you been returning my calls sweetie? I was getting worried 
about you.” she said as she stroked his bangs away from his eyes.  The 
four guys just stared at Darien to see what his reaction would be.
“Ive been busy” he said straight face and coldness over his eyes.  ‘Ukk 
its one these women again’ he thought to himself glancing over to 
Michael to see him roll his eyes.
“Busy, even for little ol me” she said while she took Darien’s glass 
and took a sip “I tell you what, meet me at my place at six o’clock 
tomorrow and you can make it up to me” she said giving him her sluty 
eyes.  “So, will I expect you to be their” she said as she looked at 
Darien and then to the three other men.  Even though Darien was trying 
to avoid them, he couldn’t help but only be a man with needs.  He has 
not relieved himself since Beryl so he took Millie’s invitation.
“Yeah, Ill be there” he said to her emotionless and dark eyes.  Michael 
noticing this shook his head ‘geez Darien I thought you were gonna stay 
away from these women’ he thought to himself.
“Good, then Ill see you later” she said as she walked off swaying her 
hips noticably.  Darien looked at Michael and noticed a grin on his 
face.
“What” asked Darien
“Dare, I thought you were trying to avoid those kinds of women”
“Mike, just shut up.  I don’t want to hear it from you, besides Im only 
human.”
“I bet she does wonders in bed, huh Dare” said Nathan still watching 
Millie sway
“She looks like she can hurt someone in bed” said Jayson
“Well, Ill leave that out for your imaginations, besides I don’t even 
think its worth imagining” said Darien coldly.

“Right now Im trying to imagine what ‘she’ can do in bed” said Zen 
pointing at a blond woman on a balcony.  All five men turned around and 
followed Zen’s finger up towards the balcony.  Their eyes wide and 
mouth open to find a blond Goddess with her eyes closed leaning 
provocatively against the marble rail.  
“My Gods, did I just die and gone to heaven, cause Im seeing an Angel 
on that balcony” said Nathan
“Well were in heaven with you, cause Im seeing the same thing” said 
Michael staring at her.
“I never knew angels look so beautiful” said Zen
“Look at all that hair, Imagine that on your pillow and all over your 
body” said Jayson 
“and look at those killer legs. Imagine those wrapped around you” said 
Nathan 
“Jayson, you better lower your voice down before Rie hears you” said 
Michael
“Darien, I bet that’s one woman in Tokyo you haven’t bonded with” said 
Zen 
Darien still in awe about the girl on the balcony and entranced on how 
beautiful she looks. ‘Never before have I seen beauty like hers’ he 
said to himself while his eyes sweeped all over her body.  He was so 
deep in thought that he didn’t even notice the conversation going 
about. 
“Darien… Darien” said Michael shaking Darien’s shoulders “Hey man are 
you okay?”
“Umm.. Yeah Im fine” he said looking at his friend then back to the 
girl on the balcony.  Michael seeing Darien’s eyes just smiled, he 
noticed a light spark in his eyes instead of the usual coldness towards 
women who flock all over him, like Millie. All five men stared in 
contempt watching this girl as she steadily looked out at sea, admiring 
her beauty that can be seen.  
“She’s moving.. Im not imagining this” said Zen.  Serena glanced over 
to the party and was examining the party.
“Her face.. How can anyone have such an angelic face.” said Michael
“What…. Is.. she.. doing…. What…” said Nathan before getting caught in 
Serena’s movement.
Serena stretched her arms up and was on her tippy toes unknowingly 
showing the higher part of her thighs.  The men took deep breaths and 
groaned simutaniously when she lightly brushed her hair with her 
fingers. 
“like I said, imgaine all that hair all over your bed’ said Nathan. By 
now their eyes pertruded and imagination for this woman in their bed 
was getting the better of them.  
“Hey guys, good thing were behind some rails to cover us huh” said 
Nathan as he noticed the other men standing behind the rail tensely.  
Serena was now facing forward to the family playing about.  When she 
turned to face the men staring at her.
“Guys, I think we groaned a little too loud, cause she’s now looking at 
us” said Nathan as he smiled.
“Look at those eyes” mentioned Darien who was quiet till now.  All five 
now were smiling at Serena and couldn’t help but fluster in 
embarrassment for getting caught staring.
“Guys, we better quit staring.  She might have a husband or a boyfriend 
or something that might attack” said Zen.
“Hey you five, what are you guys doing here by the rails.  The party 
and the women are over there” said Mr. Johnson pointing but didn’t get 
any response, only the silence of the men with their heads turned away.  
Mr. Johnson noticed their heads and he himself was now looking up.
 “WOW.. no wonder you guys are just standing here.  It’s got a 
beautiful view” said Mr. Johnson as he stepped in line with the five 
men behind the rail “When did she move in?” he asked himself.
“Do you know her Mr. Johnson?” asked Darien curiously turning away from 
Serena, which of course got Michael’s attention.
“No… She just must of moved in.  That house was bought a year ago and 
only had a couple living in the guest house, I assume there the care 
takers or something.  If I only have known I would of invited her” said 
Mr. Johnson.
“Well its not too late” marked Darien as he looked up and was caught in 
Serena’s gaze.  Time seems to stand still when the two stared directly 
at each other.
“Oh yes its not too late” said the other three looking up.  Michael was 
more interested in Darien and his interest in the whole thing. 

“I suppose not” Mr. Johnson said as he waved at her, motioning her to 
come down.
“Look she’s smiling.  Maybe she’ll join us” said Zen.
“Good, Im gonna ask her to dance” said Nathan.  Darien still caught in 
the gaze heard that comment and can only smirk ‘not if I can help it’ 
he thought to himself.  They all watch to see her reaction when a woman 
came out and faced her.  Ruining there gaze as Serena turned away from 
Darien.
“Is that her mother?” asked Jayson
“No… that’s the Mrs. Chua the help” said Mr. Johnson.  Serena can only 
smile back at Darien and turn away, leaving him in dissapointment.
“Aawwwee.. she left….” Said Nathan “wait maybe she’s coming down here”.  
They all waited in anticipation, especially Darien.  They all sighed in 
disapointment when they saw a lady walk out.
“It’s the lady with her” said Zen “shes walking towards us”
“Look she’s holding something in her hand” said Michael as they watched 
Elaine get closer to them.  Elaine took a deep breath and walked 
forward to face Mr. Johnson.
“Good evening Mr. Johnson” Elaine said while bowing to him and the 
others.  The others returned their respect by bowing to her.
“Good evening Mrs. Chua” said Mr. Johnson
“My lady had asked me to give you this note Sir” said Elaine while 
handing Mr. Johnson the note.  He unfolded the note and with beautiful 
penmenship he read -

To the host of the party,

Thank you for your offer and It would have been gladly taken.  But I 
have just arrived from a long trip and am very exhausted.  Maybe we can 
formally introduce ourselves some other time.

				Your New Neighbor

Darien curious to know, rudely looked over Mr. Johnsons shoulder and 
read the note.
“Tell me Mrs. Chua.  Does your lady have a name?” asked Mr. Johnson for 
the sake of the young men before him. 
“Yes, she does, and a beautiful name it is.  But she had ask me to not 
disclose her name, for a formal introduction will be made later” Elaine 
said smilingly knowing that it wasn’t Mr. Johnson wanting to know but 
the handsome men besides him.
“Oh I see.”
“What is your lady doing now” asked Darien surprising the other men and 
Elaine too.
“Sir... umm.. My lady is taken her bath…” she said trying to hold her 
laughter in, as she heard a faint groan from the men.  
“A bath” … ***urggg***… “would I love to be in that bath with her” said 
Nathan loudly.  All eyes stared at him, especially Darien’s. “Oh 
shit!!! was I thinking out loud?”  everyone nodded.  Opps..  
“I…..think… I… need a cooooold……. drink” said Nathan as he left.  
Before he left Michael noticed Dariens cold eyes cutting Nathan into 
pieces.
“Where did your lady come from?” asked Darien
“how old is she” asked Zen
“does she have a boyfriend” asked Michael
“or a husband and can we have her number?” asked Jayson. Everyone’s 
eyes now stared at Jayson.  Michael again taking notice of Darien’s 
stare.  “ummmm… I…. think I’ll go join Nathan on that coolllddd…drink” 
he said as he left.  Elaine was now laughing hard inside, she was 
trying so hard to not laugh out loud ‘My goodness, I think cupid threw 
to many arrows at the same time’ she thought to herself.  Elaine 
finally managed to calm her insides down and faced Darien.
“Sir with much respect, I think these questions should be directed to 
her.  For I do not know if she will approve of me giving such personal 
information”.
Frustrated Darien can only sigh in defeat, it usually isnt this hard 
for him to get information on a woman, he was so used to them handing 
it to him.



“If there is nothing else Sir, I will be heading back now.” said Elaine 
towards Mr. Johnson.
“Oh yes, go ahead and tend to your lady” said Mr. Johnson who can only 
stand their and smile to the antics that the men beside him were doing.  
As Elaine left she noticed Darien’s eyes on the balcony.  ‘This man, I 
feel something from him’ she thought to herself.  She quickly turned 
around and stared at him 
“By the way, the answer is No” she said waiting for Darien’s attention
“Huh” said the men, as Darien stared at her.
“No she does not have a boyfriend, she is single” said Elaine directing 
it to Darien.  Darien got the expression on her face and nodded.
“Thank you” he said as he watched her leave.  Michael watching the 
whole thing was a little amazed to what Mrs. Chua had done.
“You know if I don’t know any better, I think that last comment was 
directed to you Darien” said Michael looking at Darien still staring at 
the balcony.
“Well who ever she is, she must be pretty special.  Her own servants 
wont even give out information” Mr. Johnson stated as he turned to 
Darien “and you, young man must be pretty special for her to direct 
that information to you” he said before leaving.
Nathan and Jayson finally came back with bottles of beer for everyone.
“Hey guys, need something cold” asked Nathan handing them a beer.
“Geez, I think I need something colder than that” said Darien only 
taking his eyes away from the balcony for a few seconds.  Hoping and 
wishing that Serena would come step out to the balcony.
“Well how about Beryl, I heard she’s cold” Michael said sarcasticly.
“Huh… Oh shut up Mike” snapped Darien.  Michael can only laugh
“Lets go get something to eat Dare.. there’s no use to standing here.”

It was atlease an hour since she fell into a relaxing sleep in the tub.  
‘My goodness Im turning into a prune’ she said as she released the 
stopper and got out of the tub. Grabbing a towel she wiped her self 
down and slipped on her robe.  Taking a brush from the vanity area in 
the bathroom she walked out of her bathroom.  She found Mrs. Chua 
unpacking her suitcase and tucking them in drawers.
“Hello Dear” said Elaine
“Elaine, why didn’t you wake me” she said brushing her hair
“You looked so peaceful and relaxed, I didn’t want to bother you” she 
said while taking some of Serena’s clothes and hanging them in the 
closet.
“Oh I laid these out for you, I thought you might want to wear them 
after your bath” Elaine said pointing out the clothes on the bed.
“How did you know? This is exactly what I had in my mind” said Serena 
taking the lace panties and putting them on under her robe.  She then 
took her robe off, with her hair covering her breast she slipped on her 
short silk nightgown.
“Umm.. I feel so much better now” she said as she plopped herself on 
the bed.  She looked out on the balcony as she can still hear the music 
playing.
“Elaine did you give Mr. Johnson that note” she asked
“Yes, I did and they are very eager to meet you” Elaine said with a 
grin ‘particularly a handsome black haired man’ she said to herself.
“Well, maybe Ill introduce myself tomorrow” said Serena as she began 
brushing her hair.  Elaine taking an interest in her beautiful hair 
stopped what she was doing and offered her help.
“Princess let me help you” said Elaine as she sat next to Serena on the 
bed.
“Princess… Im no princess” said Serena as she gave Elaine her brush and 
began stroking her hair with it.  Serena closed her eyes to the suttle 
and massaging movement of the brush.  
“Well, the guys outside watching you this afternoon surely thought you 
were”.  Serena’s eyes popped open.





“What.. What did they say” asked Serena curiously
“Oh nothing, they just wanted to know if you were single”
“What did you say”
“I told them yes you are”
“and how did you know that” asked Serena
“I know cause I can feel it” said Elaine when Serena turned around in 
surprise.
“What do you mean you can feel it?”
“I can sense things about people’s life especially their love life” 
said Elaine knowing that she would have to give Serena an explanation.  
“You see my family from generations can sense and feel others emotions.  
We even sometimes get premenission of things to come.  But each of kin 
can only feel certain things”
”What do you mean by that”
“ Like my brother for instance feels the hate, pain and everything 
awful, my sister feels the peace and happiness and I….”
“You… what do you feel”
“I feel love and desire” said Elaine.
“Love and desire.  Wow Elaine that is so neat.  So do you help bring 
people together?” asked Serena.
“No, we try not to get involved.  Especially with love, the couple 
needs to find this out themselves”  Elaine said even thought she gave 
Darien a willing nudge.
“Oh I see.. So what did you see in mine? Or will you not tell me?”
“I will tell you, just as long as you don’t say anything about this to 
anyone” said Elaine 
“I promise and a promise from Serena Tsukino is as good as gold” she 
said to Elaine looking directly in her eyes.
“Okay” said Elaine “What I saw in your heart were different things.  
First I saw all the people you love like your brother, parents and your 
best friend.  Then I saw that you were hurt badly by man who you 
thought loved you, but only had one motive.” She stoped as she saw 
Serena’s eyes lower.  “Serena I know he hurt you bad and that the 
memories are nightmares but things will be okay” she said giving Serena 
a hug then pulling her chin up.
“What else did you see” ask Serena
“I also saw a spark in your heart.  Usually meaning that love will soon 
arrive” not wanting to give anymore information she stopped.
“Is that all?” asked Serena hoping that she would keep talking.
“Yes .. that’s all” lied Elaine, “Well enough about that, are you 
hungry?” asked Elaine.
“Oh yes.. I hope you have something better than airplane food’ marked 
Serena.  Elaine laugh as she got up and handed Serena the brush.
“I think I can find something.  What would you like?” asked Elaine
“Mainly fruits please, its getting late and I don’t want to be too 
full.”
“Okay, Ill be back” said Elaine as she closed the door.  Serena 
continued to brush her hair and lightly smiled as she can still hear 
music outside.  Looking at the clock beside her she noticed that it was 
9:15 pm.  She got up and walked out to the balcony, forgetting she was 
only in a nightgown.  Serena loves lingerie, she always felt it to be 
the most sensual and personal clothing a woman can have and with Jaq 
her personal designer he always knew what suited her.  The silk gown 
she wore was short but a perfect length for Serena’s 5’8 slim figure. 
The front is cut low to a v-shape revealing enough of her cleavage and 
creamy breast to make her seductive at glance.  The gown losely hung 
over her but yet showed her defined figure.  The spaghetti straps were 
thin and designed with each one silver heart, the back was also cut 
lowly revealing her smooth skin all the way down to her tailbone, this 
was Serena’s favorite of her collection.  As she got to the rail of the 
balcony she once again breathed in deeply ‘I love this place already’ 
sighed Serena.  She began to brush her hair and gave up when the wind 
russled it away.  ‘Oh how lovely’ she said as she looked up and found 
many bright stars winking at her every move.  She again leaned on the 
rail and just watched the black sky.  Even with the loud music next 
door she can still hear the angry waves crashing down on the rocks.  
‘How about a midnight swim’ she said to herself.  After a few moments 
of contemplating she finally gave up. “Naw… Elaine and Ben wouldn’t 
approve of it” she said laughingly.  As she was laughing to herself she 
felt the urge to look at the Luau that was still happening.  She looked 
down and laugh louder as she saw many drunken people dancing awkwardly.  
“I don’t know how they can still stand up’ she thought to herself ‘Oh 
my gods their doing the limbo’.  She laugh out loud when people fell 
left and right.  Serena was so much in happy laughter that she didn’t 
notice the few people looking at her.  ‘I think Im having more fun 
watching them, then being down their’ looking down as she snikkered to 
herself.  Grabbing her stomach she leaned over the rail laughing.  She 
brushed strands of hair away from her face when she notices four men 
smiling at her.  ‘Opps, gods I feel stupid, they must of heard me 
laughing’ she thought, while a dark blush crossed her cheeks. Oh Elaine 
hurry and save me’ she thought.’  As she looked at the four men she 
noticed that these were the same men she encountered early on this 
evening.  Serena kindly returned their smile calmly, hoping they didn’t 
notice her figiting.  She then noticed the dark haired man coming 
closer to her balcony.  ‘Elaine hurry up, she thought’ lastly before 
gazing down in the eyes of a tall handsome man under her balcony.

“Hey Michael why aren’t you dancing with Mina?” asked Zen
“Oh, she left already.  She was meeting her mother tomorrow so she left 
early” he responded.
“How about you Darien. I’m pretty sure all these ladies would like at 
lease one dance with Mr. Chiba” said Nathan
“I really don’t feel like it” he said while staring directly at his 
glass.  Michael sensing something wrong decided to ask his friend.
“Dare, whats wrong?” asked Michael.  “you’ve turned down every girl 
that asked you to dance.  Even Millie.. you know the one that your 
going to…”
“That’s enough Mike…You don’t need to bring that up.  You know that 
she’s just little whor…” he said before they were interupted by a 
giggling angel.  They first stared at each other then turned around to 
find no one.
“Where is that coming from” asked Darien looking around.
“I don’t know, but isn’t it the sweetest laugh you’ve ever heard” 
marked Michael.
“Guys, the Angel’s back” said Zen looking up to the balcony.  With that 
remark all three men’s eyes snapped up to see Serena giggling and 
laughing to her full delight. Their mouths open once more to see Serena 
more beautiful than earlier.  Her hair flowed freely along the strong 
wind and her nightgown lightly russeled in the wind showing her soft 
bare legs. Her soft and radiant skin glowed in the darkness making her 
beauty glow brightly through the night.
“I.. think I need to stand behind that rail again” said Nathan
“I think will go with you…” said Darien keeping an eye on Serena.  All 
four men walked behind the balcony rails that covered the lower half of 
their body.
“Look at her, she’s so freely and playful” Michael marked as they all 
watch her curl down over the marble rail from laughing.  With her 
nightgown being cut so low, Serena didn’t realize that she gave them a 
small glimps of her full breast.  The four men’s mouth opened wider and 
their eyes buldged out.
“Did you just see that” said Nathan
“Ahh.. Huh..” said Zen
“I wonder if she knows, what she’s doing to us” said Michael feeling 
his hardness.
“I don’t think so” mark Darien feeling his own.  ‘Oh gods she looks so 
heavenly’ he thought as Serena stop laughing and brushed away strands 
of hair away from her face.
“Guys’ she caught us again” marked Zen as he saw Serena looked directly 
at them.
“Is that a blush I see?” asked Michael staring at Serena than to 
Darien.  Darien so busily studying Serena didn’t hear Michael.  All he 
could do was stare at her ‘who is she’ he wondered.  Finally after 
watching her fidget around the balcony he finally made his mind up to 
speak to her.
“Im gonna talk to her” Darien said as he slowly walked away towards 
Serena’s balcony forgeting about the hardness that bulged from his 
shorts.
“WHAT!!!” said Zen and Nathan in unison.
“Did he just say that he was going to talk to her” asked Nathan to 
Michael
“He sure did” said Michael seeing a different Darien.  ‘This girl’ he 
thought ‘there is something about this girl that makes Darien crazy’.  
They all watched as Darien eagerly walked his way towards Serena’s 
Balcony.
‘Oh shit, what am I gonna say…’ Darien though to himself ‘wait a 
minute, why am I acting like this?  Ive approached many women surely I 
can do this’.  Finally making it and being in close enough range with 
her, he looked up and saw the lightest blue eyes he had ever seen, 
eye’s that glowed even in the darkest night.  He was caught and pulled 
by the alluring eyes of this beautiful angel.
“Good evening” said Serena snapping him out of his state.
“Good evening to you” said Darien still staring at the angel above him
“How is the party?” asked Serena calmly trying to converse.  Darien 
still staring didn’t realize her speaking.
“Huh.. um…Im sorry.. what did you say?” ‘stupid…stupid…get a grip 
Darien’
“I said how is the party?” she asked. ‘I guess im not the only one 
who’s nervous’ she thought as she smiled.
It’s great..” he said.  ‘Oh gods I feel stupid, all night Ive been 
wanting a chance to speak to this girl and I get my chance and I total 
freeze out.  What the hell is wrong with me’ he thought as he watched 
her. ‘Okay Im going to be polite and ask her to come down’.
‘What is wrong with him, why is he staring at me.  You think he might 
of seen a ghost or an angel or something’ she thought to herself ‘but 
he is handsome’.
“If it’s so great than why are you not dancing?” she asked
“Well Ive been waiting to ask the right girl” he said. ‘Oh good come 
back’ he thought 
“If she would only come down” he said smiling.  ‘Was he implying that I 
come down.  Oh gods.. ummm what do I say… think Serena.. think.. Elaine 
where are you?’ she screamed to herself.
“I would love too but maybe some other time. Im a little tired” she 
said ‘oh good job Serena’.
“Oh, I see” he said in dissapointment.  “well can I at lease know your 
na..” he was about to say when a woman came out.
“Miss Se…” Elaine began to say when she saw Serena’s bulging eyes 
indicating to her that someone was there.
“My Lady… you dinner is ready” she said as she looked over the balcony 
to see the handsome black haird man.
“Thank you Elaine” said Serena and giving her a thank you look “Ill be 
right in”
“Im sorry but I have to go, maybe some other time” she said as she 
smiled largely before walking away.  Darien just stared at her not 
knowing what to say.. As Serena began to walk back to her room a gust 
of wind suddenly blew strong making her hair flow up revealing her 
smooth flawless back which in turn made the three men in the party 
watching groan and Darien fell flatly on the ground of frustration.

“What is Darien doing just staring at her?” asked Zen “Why isnt he 
saying his usual lines or something?”
“Zen you gotta remember Darien doesn’t use lines.  The women usual 
flock to him like crows without him saying anything” said Michael 
watching Serena and Darien.
“Hey look she’s saying something” said Nathan
“I wonder what she’s saying”
“I hope he gets her name”
“You know what guys, Ive never seen Darien get so determined to meet a 
girl” mark Michael “Ive never seen any girl that can get him this 
worked up”
“Hey that lady is coming out again” said Nathan eyeing Elaine and 
Serena on the Balcony.
“She’s leaving….Look..” Zen said pointing at the balcony.  They all 
groaned when Serena turned around and revealed her bare back.  Still in 
a aroused faze the men didn’t even notice Darien on the ground.
“Hey guys, where’s Darien” asked Michael looking around.
“He’s on the ground… He fainted” laughed Zen
“Lets go make sure he’s alright” said Nathan.  All three men walked 
quickly towards Darien to find him staring straight at the balcony.
“Dare are you okay?” asked Michael bending down to get a closer look at 
his face.
“I think he’s fallen and he cant get up” laughed Nathan
“shut up Nath” said Zen as he shoved Nathan aside.
“Guy’s get outta my face” said Darien as he was helped up by Michael.

“So Darien did you get her name?” asked Zen
“No.. I didn’t” he said brushing his head with his hand  “we were 
interupted before she got to answer”. He said looking up again to the 
balcony above.
“Well at lease you got to see her up close” said Michael putting a hand 
on his shoulders.
“Not close enough” marked Darien “anyways lets go back, they might get 
suspicious.  The four men walked slowly back to the party.  They 
mingled and partied for another hour before he himself was ready to go 
home.  He took one glance at Serena’s balcony and went inside the 
house. ‘I will find out who you are’ he thought to himself as he 
proceeded to his car.
